Westpac New Zealand

Westpac has been a proud part of New Zealand history and community since 1861. Beginning life as The Bank of New South Wales, we changed our name to Westpac in 1982. Over time the bank has grown stronger with the addition of the Commercial Bank of Australia and TrustBank. After 145 years in New Zealand, the Bank’s local identity was formally strengthened by the launch of Westpac New Zealand Limited in 2006. Westpac operate two banks in New Zealand: Westpac New Zealand Limited, and Westpac Banking Corporation (NZ division).

Westpac New Zealand Limited provides a full range of banking and financial services for personal, business and agribusiness customers. They’re also the banker of the New Zealand Government. Westpac Banking Corporation (NZ division) is the bank for the corporate and institutional customers. It operates as a branch of its parent bank, Westpac Banking Corporation – trading as Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) and Westpac.

Together they provide funds management and financial services to the corporate and institutional customers – things like finance, mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, financial markets, transaction and international trade services.
